Jason Elam missed two field goals but made the most important one, a game winning 41 yarder, to give the Denver Broncos a 20-17 win.

San Diego's LaDainian Tomlinson scored two touchdowns in the second quarter and gave his San Diego Chargers a commanding 14-3 halftime lead. Denver needed someone to make a play and up stepped Champ Bailey who intercepted Drew Brees and took it 25 yards for a touchdown and cut the lead to 14-10.

Denver's Kyle Johnson only had one rush today but he made it count for a Denver touchdown and a 17-14 lead. Then San Diego kicker Nate Kaeding hit a 42 yard field goal to tie it up 17-17. Less than 5 minutes later, Jason Elam hit the game winning field goal for the Denver Broncos.

Denver now stands at 1-1 and San Diego falls to 0-2.
