The 49ers did have one last shot at a win, but Tim Rattay was intercepted by Dat Nguyen in the waning minutes and the Cowboys were then able to run out the clock.

Drew Bledsoe had a big day for the Dallas Cowboys. He threw for 363 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions on 24 of 38 passing. Julius Jones rushed for 85 yards 26 yards. Terry Glenn had five receptions for 137 yards. Jason Witten had six receptions for 85 yards and one touchdown.
