Is the NFL going to oversaturate us with draft coverage?

What's every one's opinion on the NFL moving the draft to Thursday Night--Friday Night and Saturday...

Being a person that has followed the draft from the late 60's I'm concerned and here's why.

In the late 60's going into the 70's we use to skip school and go listen to Van Miller or Rick Azar call the draft at the main Place Mall.

In the 80's (I ran a bar on Elmwood Ave.) I use to run a draft party that started at 7am on Tuesday mornings complete with breakfast specials that included $1.00 Bloody Mary's, Tequila Sunrises, Screwdrivers, Salty dogs. We had a riot and some of the Bills players would show up around lunch time. By mid afternoon we would head up to Canada to hit the strip clubs---GTR and the King Eddie.

In the 90's I lived in Florida but the draft was moved to ESPN and the weekends---fantastic! Still was involved with my friends who would have draft parties, but my phone bills were large due to calling Buffalo through out the 2 days (it was at a time when there wasn't free long distance).

In the 2000's---same scenario except long distance was free, I actually surprised my friends last year by showing up unannounced, it was like old times--- drinking, eating the great Buffalo cuisine (pizza, sausage, wings etc), talking football and laughing our asses off!!! It was just a great time....

Now the change of schedule again, this time I have to believe it is for the worst. Thursday night--give me a break, Friday is a work day for most so the draft party will come to a screeching halt (what the frig time will it end?), so much for Friday night and who cares on Saturday.

Personally I think it is perfect the way it is? Is the NFL going to over saturate us with 3 days of Draft coverage (some think we are over saturated now) especially going to 2 prime time nights. I compare this to what MLB did to baseball they over saturated TV with games and college football has done the same thing. The NFL followed suit by increasing the night time coverage by adding Sunday & Thursday Night games, plus the occasional Saturday night games. Oh by the way if your lucky enought to have the NFL Network you can see the Thursday Night games.

As much as a sports fan as I am and I enjoy to the max all of the above, I just don't blindly sit down to watch the games just because they are on TV----unless of course one of favorite teams are playing like the Bills, Gators or Rays. I haven't figured it out if it is because I've gotten older (dread of dreads) or the fact that there is so much on the tube that games are no longer must see for me.

Now the NFL is saturating us with 3 days of draft coverage I hope I don't become numb to an event that I truly enjoy!!!
