I had the honor last Wednesday night to be a guest panel for the Todd Wright's fantasy draft that takes place every Wednesday night. Since I've been a caller to the Fantasy draft during free agent signing, Todd Wright needed a 5th for the panel, and that's when he asked me to call in to participate.

So let's have some fun today; who in the NFL would you consider to be a franchise person. Now the rules are simple: It could be a past or present Coach, or Player; It can also be an owner, or announcer for that team. It's fun to play along, and I welcome the feedback, so here's my franchise person for the 32 teams(Not going to count the Houston Texans because they haven't been in the NFL long enough, plus I can't think of one).

AFC East: Buffalo Bills; To me it came down to 3 people, in the end I pick Ralph Wilson, owner of the Bills.
Miami Dolphins; This one came down to two, but I would pick Dan Marino because he stayed in Miami his entire career, and was the last quarterback to take the Dolphins to the Super Bowl.
New York Jets; No doubt the first name pop in my mind is Joe Namath because he took the Jets to the only Super Bowl and won that game over the Baltimore Colts.
New England Patriots; I coulf go in many directions, but I chose Tom Brady because he came in for the injured Drew Bledsoe some years back, and won the Patriots' first Super Bowl over the St. Louis Rams.

AFC North: Baltimore Ravens; The only name that pops in my head is Joe Flacco because the Ravens came close last year to making to the Super Bowl thanks to the rookie quarterback who filled in nicely in the quarterback slot.
Cincinnati Bengals; This one is easy, Boomer Esiason because he had a great arm, and took the Bengals to the Super Bowl against the 49ers in a closely contest losing 28-24.
Cleveland Browns; He's one of the greatest running backs of all time, and not too bad of an actor; Jim Brown.
Pittsburgh Steelers; I had a lot of thought of who should be my pick, but I going with the owners of the Pittsburgh Steelers; The Rooney Family.

AFC South: Houston Oilers(not the Texans, see 2nd paragraph) It came down to two people, but I choose a man who nearly defeated the Bills had it not been the 4th quarter miracle that people in Buffalo still talks about; Warren Moon.
Indianapolis Colts; This man is a hall of famer! Wearing #19 the great Johnny Untias.
Jacksonville Jaguars; This was a toss up, but I would go with running back Fred Taylor.
Tennessee Titans; It came down to the owner who left Houston, or the quarterback that took the Titans to the only Super Bowl appearance in Atlanta against the St. Louis Rams. I'm picking the late Steve McNair.

I'm running out of time at the library, but I will give you part two ASAP!
