The first Thursday night NFL game is upon is so let’s break out a mid-week free pick. Chicago at San Francisco is not as great of a game as it might have seemed in the first couple weeks of the season. Both teams are reeling right now. And as much as the 49ers haven’t come thru for me the last few times I’ve picked them, I like them at home tonight. The Bears just aren’t good right now. Other than a weird lucky win over Pittsburgh at home in week 2, the Bears have only beaten the Lions, Browns, and a banged up Seahawks team. San Francisco has actually lost 4 in row after starting 3-1, but it still don’t think they’re too bad. A home night/TV game should have the Niners jacked up and I can see a desperate Jay Cutler throwing a pick six. Give the 3 points. I also like this game to go over the total of 43.5 points. Both teams score and give up about 23 points per game. Chicago’s defense is pretty weak, and Cutler could end up getting some big plays down the field if the Bears fall behind.
