In Professional Wrestling, If you flip the bird, it depends on who you are; If you're Stone Cold Steve Austin, the fans would cheer very loudly, however If it was anyone else like Diesel aka Kevin Nash, then the fans would boo the hell outta you. Flip someone off in traffic, either you get chased down, or they ignore, and If you do it at work, then either you're reprimand, or canned. What happen last sunday in the Tennessee Buffalo game was a big embrassment to the Titans organzation, as well as the NFL.
Remember when Michael Vick gave his own fans in Atlanta the Falcon because the fans felt he played terribly, well the NFL and Arthur Banks didn't like it, and fined Michael Vick for that action. Well Bud Adams was fined $250,000 for fliping the Bills's fans off not 1, not 2, not 3, well actually 3 and 4 was the double bird; That's $62,500 a bird(Already did the math, so don't tell that I'm wrong), plus the Titans were on their way of going 3-6 beating the Bills.
Now some would say that this was justify for the Buffalo's 4th quarter miracle in the 1991 AFC Divisional Playoffs when Houston Oilers were up 35-3 and was about to play LA Raiders I think either in Houston, or Los Angeles before Buffalo scored 35 unanswered points winning 38-35. I can't say I agree, nor do I disagree with that theory, but I think Bud Adams should have gone about it the right way, and not flipping off the Bills fans that was present in Tennessee.
So If you're a player, coach, or even an owner that has the urge to flip the bird, get your checkbooks ready because the NFL will not tolerate that childish behavior in their league. BTW my brother David told me when he dies he wants to have his birdie finger embodied up so he can flip everyone off one more time at his funeral.
