They're singing "Hail to the Redskins" again in the Nation's Capital, as 3-1 the Washington Redskins head into Sunday's 1:00pm game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead. The Redskins are currently tied atop the NFC East.

What an improbable season it has been for coach Joe Gibbs' ball club. Mark Brunell, their 35-year-old quarterback, is having his best season in years. He has completed 57% of his passes for 909 yards and six touchdowns, revitalizing a Washington offense that has struggled in recent years. RB Clinton Portis has chipped in with 366 rushing yards and WR Santana Moss has become the go-to-guy that the team has been searching for, hauling in 23 catches for 458 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Washington Redskins also boast the NFL's fifth best defense in total yardage allowed, surrendering just 178 passing yards and 104 rushing yards per game.

They will certainly be tested by the Kansas City Chiefs offense, which has struggled at times in 2005 but is always a threat to post big numbers. Kansas City has a fierce two-back attack in the running game, with RBs Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson combining for 503 yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground. Defense is another story, though. Despite all of their recent attempts to overhaul the unit, the Chiefs defense is still ranked just 27th in the league in yards per game. They'll need a big game from their 'D' if they want to have a shot at knocking off the Redskins and advancing over .500.
