It’s time to give you some free NFL picks against the spread for Week 15. Not every game is listed, just what I think are some of the best bets. These free picks are against the most current point spreads as of Friday morning.

Before we get started, RIP Chris Henry.

The snow storms are coming and I’ve been cold lately on my free picks against the point spread. Let’s see if I can get back on track:

Saturday Night Special: New Orleans -7.5 vs. Dallas
I know the Saints are due to lose and have had trouble lately covering big point spreads. That’s exactly what I said last week, and I should have listened to myself cuz they only won by 3 at Atlanta and didn’t cover the point spread. But they are a different animal at home, especially for a TV night game. The Cowboys will miss DeMarcus Ware (listed as questionable). If they can’t pressure Drew Brees, the Saints will light up the scoreboard and Dallas will be feeling that December Swoon pressure yet again. If Tony Romo has to play from behind, he’ll force it and Darren Sharper will be waiting. Even a close competitive game could end with the Saints winning by 8 or 10. Give the points.

The Gut Feel Pick: Pittsburgh -2 vs. Green Bay
The Steelers are reeling, losers of 5 in a row including losses to KC, Oakland, and Cleveland. Troy Polamalu should be in the running for MVP of the league, cuz with him Pittsburgh is a Super Bowl contender and without him they are a losing team. The Steelers can’t protect Ben Roethlisberger, and Green Bay CB Charles Woodson lurks awaiting a mistake. The Packers are hot and playing well, winners of 5 in a row. Seems like all signs point to the Steelers being out of it and not having a chance to beat a good team since lately they can’t beat the bad teams. I beg to differ. The Black & Gold will muster up some pride and get a win at home to stay mathematically alive in the wildcard hunt.

Arizona -12.5 at Detroit
Kurt Warner and the Cardinals tend to come back and play well after laying an egg, and the Lions are the perfect opponent. Detroit is obviously a bad football team and Arizona should blow them out. This point spread opened at 10.5 and moved up to 12.5, so the smart money wasn’t shy to lay the big points on the road after the Cardinals loss last week. You shouldn’t be either; give the 12.5.

Baltimore -11 vs. Chicago
The Ravens high point spreads always raise an eyebrow, but they manage to take care of business against lesser opponents, especially at home. Baltimore is 4-0 against the spread as a favorite of 10 points or more. The Bears are 2-6 straight up in their last 8 games. The two wins? Against the Rams and Browns. This aint the Rams and Browns. Baltimore controls their own playoff destiny and the Bears are thinking about tee times. Lay the points; Ravens in a blowout.

Minnesota -9 at Carolina
The Vikings got back on track against Cincy last week and now they can unleash that defense on Carolina’s backup QB, whose name I don’t know and didn’t look up. Brett Favre loves attention, and we’ve all been talking a lot about the Saints and Colts the last few weeks so look for #4 and his weapons to have a big game as they build their fans up for the inevitable heartbreaking playoff exit. But this week they win big again.

The Teaser: Houston/Denver
The Texans should have their way on the turf against the terrible Rams, who actually had to cancel practice Thursday due to a flu epidemic. Denver needs a win to hold on to their playoff spot and now they get a home game against a Raiders team that’s turning to Charlie Frye at QB. So tease Houston down to -5 and pair them up with Denver teased down to -8.

Last week: 3-5
Season: 58-47-2
