It’s time to give you some free NFL picks against the spread for Week 16. Not every game is listed, just what I think are some of the best bets. These free picks are against the most current point spreads as of Friday morning.

Hope everyone's holiday wishes came true, now lets get to the best bets for NFL week 16 action.

NY Giants -7.5 vs. Carolina
New York got some swagger back Monday night when they blew out Washington. The Panthers might have some confidence after upsetting the Vikings, but this time they're on the road against a well-coached Giants team still desperate to keep winning to get in the playoffs. The winds will be swirling in the Meadowlands and they'll blow new Carolina QB Matt Moore back down to earth. Give the points.

The Gut Feel Pick: Pittsburgh -2.5 vs. Baltimore
The Steelers were my Gut Feel Pick last week and they pulled off the victory but just barely missed covering the spread. The Ravens have been rolling the last 2 weeks against lesser competition while Pittsburgh is very much alive in the playoff hunt despite being left for dead 2 weeks ago. These teams always play down-to-the-wire smash mouth games often decided by 3 points. They went to overtime a few weeks ago in Baltimore and that was without Ben Roethlisberger. Big Ben will play this time while Ed Reed sits again for the Ravens. That, and home cooking, will be the difference as Pittsburgh squeaks out another classic and the wildcard race tightens. Take the Steelers.

Philly -7 vs. Denver
The Broncos are really not as good as they seemed early in the year while the Eagles are peaking at the right time. Two teams heading in opposite directions and Philly will win and cover at home. Lay the 7.

Miami -3 vs. Houston
The Texans barely beat the flu-riddled Rams last week and now they go on the road to face a solid Dolphins team that has played with everybody all year. Despite the same record, Miami is the better team with the better coach and more heart. I don't trust the Texans on the road. Miami wins 20-16.

Dallas at Washington: UNDER 42.5
Last time these teams played it was 7-6. Even if this one ends up 21-20 or 24-17, it still stays under

The Teaser: Green Bay/San Francisco
The Packers need a win to stay in the playoffs and should get it easily at home against the lame Seahawks. The 49ers are elminated but should beat up on the Lions at home. But just to be safe, tease Green Bay down to -8 and the Niners down to 7.

Last week: 1-6
Season: 59-43-2
