Looking back on the weekend’s Wildcard Playoff action in the NFL, there’s really only one game to talk about: the classic shootout between Arizona and Green Bay. Considering the Pack was down 17-0 and 31-10 late, it’s amazing that this game ended tied at 45 heading to overtime. Seems a lot of money, from both the public and the wise guys, was on Green Bay. Hopefully you had the Over.

A few interesting tidbits from the opening weekend: Three of the four underdogs won outright (Arizona was an underdog by the time the line kept moving Green Bay’s way all week). Two out of the four road teams won. But, keep in mind, over the past 15 years, the road team's winning percentage is about five percent lower in the divisional round than the wild-card round. Also remember that last year three road teams won in the divisional round, including the Cardinals and Ravens.

With that in mind, here are the early lines for next weekend’s NFL playoffs:

Saturday 1/16/10, 4:30pm EST
Arizona +7 at New Orleans; over/under 57
Saturday 1/16/10, 8:15pm EST
Baltimore +6.5 at Indianapolis; over/under 44.5
Sunday 1/17/10, 1pm EST
Dallas +2.5 at Minnesota; over/under 47
Sunday 1/17/10, 4:40pm EST
New York Jets +7.5 at San Diego; over/under 42.5

Also, here are the updated odds to win the Super Bowl. Some decent value with the Cowboys and Ravens:

New York JETS +4000
Baltimore RAVENS +2800
Arizona CARDINALS +2200|
Dallas COWBOYS +1000
Minnesota VIKINGS +650
New Orleans SAINTS +390
San Diego CHARGERS +350
Indianapolis COLTS +300
