Kelly Holcomb is now 2-0 since taking over for J.P. Losman as the Bills' quarterback, as Buffalo defeated their AFC East rival, the New York Jets, 27-17.

Running back Willis McGahee had a big day, rushing for 143 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries. His one-yard plunge in the third quarter put the Buffalo Bills up 24-10, as they held the Jets at bay the rest of the way. Holcomb completed 18-of-26 for 172 yards and two touchdowns, but was also intercepted twice.

New York Jets quarterback Vinny Testaverde, who also was a winner in his season debut as a starter last week, didn't fare quite as well on this day. He was intercepted twice and fumbled once, as he went 12-of-26 for 161 yards. He did score on a quarterback sneak from a yard away to get his team within seven points, but they could get no closer.

New York running back Curtis Martin, like McGahee, also ran well on Sunday. He carried 18 times for 148 yards and a score. The loss dropped the Jets to 2-4 on the season, while the Bills evened their record at 3-3.
