Coming off of a loss at Jacksonville, the Cincinnati Bengals
brought their 4-1 record to Tennessee. A lot of
Bengals fans remember last year's matchup up ending in
a Carson Palmer fumble to seal the game for the
Titans. They would have to get their revenge without
number 2 wide receiver, T.J Houshmandzadeh.

The Tennessee Titans struck first, on a Chris Brown four-yard
touchdown run in the early stages of the second
quarter. Later in the quarter, Titan kicker Rob
Bironas kicked a 24-yard field goal, to give Tennessee
a 10-0 lead. The Bengals got on the board with just 37
seconds left in the half, when Carson Palmer connected
with Chris Perry for a one-yard touchdown. At half, it
was 10-7 Titans. Shayne Graham tied the game in the
third, with a 21-yard field goal. Just three minutes
later, Chris Brown gave the lead back to the Titans
with a nine-yard touchdown run. The Titans were
driving on their next possession, until rookie
Linebacker Odell Thurman intercepted the Steve McNair
pass and took it back for a 30-yard score. After three
quarters, the game was tied at 17. Rob Bironas opened
up the scoring in the fourth quarter, kicking a
29-yard field goal. Seconds later, Carson Palmer
connected with Chad Johnson for a 15 yard touchdown,
giving the Bengals the 24-20 lead. Cincinnati was able
to seal the game on a 1-yard touchdown run by Rudi
Johnson. Rob Bironas kicked a field goal, but the
Titans failed to recover the onside kick, and Carson
Palmer took a knee.

Both quarterbacks had decent days; Carson Palmer
completed 27 of 33 passes, for 272 yards and two
touchdowns. Steve McNair couldn't lead his Titans to
victory, but he did complete 26 passes for 259 yards.
Rudi Johnson led the Bengals running game, rushing 18
times for 80 yards and a score. His counterpart, Chris
Brown, carried 18 times for 84 yards and two
touchdowns. Chad Johnson lead the way for receivers,
catching 8 passes for 135 yards, and a touchdown. The
Bengals defense continued their trend off forcing
turnovers; the Titans gave the ball up 3 times.

The Cincinnati Bengals head back to Paul Brown Stadium to take on
the rival Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals are now
ahead of the Steelers for first place in the AFC North
after Jacksonville beat Pittsburgh in OT. The Tennessee Titans
head to the desert to take on the Arizona Cardinals.
