Apparently, Josh McCown is more than just a passing fancy for Arizona Cardinals coach Dennis Green. After two weeks spelling the injured Kurt Warner at quarterback, McCown has been handed yet another start this Sunday while Warner's injured groin gets a little more time to heal.

And last week, McCown did some fancy passing, throwing for 394 yards and two touchdowns against Carolina. Unfortunately, that performance was marred by two interceptions that helped the Panthers beat the Cardinals, 24-20.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair had a similar game against Cincinnati -- 259 yards passing but a couple of picks -- and the Titans lost 30-23 to Cincinnati.

Thanks to the NFL's overtime rule, though, one of these teams has to win this week. Green has been fretting about his squad's lack of a running game -- against the Panthers, the Cardinals gained just 72 yards in 27 carries, less than three yards a crack. McCown is the team's second leading rusher, which may explain his continued survival.

Tennessee's offense got a thumbs down -- literally -- this week when leading receiver Drew Bennett had surgery for a dislocated left thumb suffered in the fourth quarter of the Cincinnati game. That means McNair may work even more to his trio of tight ends -- Ben Troupe, Erron Kinney and Bo Scaife, who have 62 catches between them. Rookie Brandon Jones, out of Oklahoma, will replace Bennett. Chris Brown and Travis Henry are two solid running backs, with Brown getting the bulk of the Titans touches.

Unlike McNair, McCown has two fleet "go-to" receivers in Anquan Boldin (10 catches against Carolina) and Larry Fitzgerald (9). Former teammate Kyle Vanden Bosch (Arizona's sack leader in '04 before jumping to the Titans) will be trying to make sure he doesn't have time to find them.

Game time is 4:15 at Sun Devil Stadium.
