Kyle Orton's first quarter touchdown pass to fullback Marc Edwards was enough for the Chicago Bears to defeat the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 10-6. The Bears improve to 3-3 on the season, while the loss drops the Ravens to 2-4.

To call this game a defensive struggle would be kind. It was more of a matchup between inept offenses than anything else. Consider the fact that the Bears managed just 276 yards of total offense in the game, while the Ravens were held to 199. And there were as many punts in the game (9 by the Ravens, 7 by the Bears) as there were points scored. But the Bears will take victories any way they come, especially since this win helped them keep pace with the Detroit Lions atop the NFC North.

Orton finished the day 15-of-29 for 145 yards and 1 touchdown. The Chicago Bears' leading rusher, Thomas Jones, didn't see much action until the second half when Chicago was content to try to run the clock out. Jones gained 139 yards on 25 carries. It was his fourth 100-yard game of the season.

The Baltimore Ravens simply couldn't move the ball on offense, and their defense didn't make big plays when they had to. Quarterback Anthony Wright was 18-of-32 for 164 yards on the day. He failed to hit some open receivers and couldn't get the job done in the red zone. Running back Jamal Lewis was equally ineffective, with just 4 yards on 15 carries. Meanwhile, tight end Todd Heap led all receivers with 7 receptions for 71 yards.

Next up: The Chicago Bears travel to Detroit for an important divisional matchup. The Baltimore Ravens will head to Pittsburgh for a divisional matchup of their own against the Steelers.
