Marc Bulger threw for 304 yards and a touchdown in his first game back in the St. Louis Rams' lineup after suffering a separated shoulder in Week Six, but it wasn't enough to lift St. Louis past Shaun Alexander and the surging Seattle Seahawks. Alexander rushed for 165 yards and scored three touchdowns in Seattle's 31-16 win. The Seahawks are now 7-2, while the Rams are a disappointing 4-5.

The Seahawks capitalized on a couple of huge St. Louis mistakes to shift the momentum of the game and preserve the win. The Rams were up 3-0 with 11:09 remaining in the 2nd quarter when they elected to fake a field goal attempt. But kicker Jeff Wilkins failed to get the first down, and Seattle took over from their own 12.

Four plays later, Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck connected with D.J. Hackett for 47-yards to the St. Louis 6 yard line. Alexander took it in from there to put the Seahawks up 7-3.

On the next series, Seattle Seahawks safety Michael Boulware intercepted a Bulger pass deep in Seahawks territory to kill a potential scoring drive. Seattle's offense was then able to take the ball the other way and set up a 31-yard Josh Brown field goal to take a 10-7 lead into the half.

Alexander was able to control the tempo of the game in the second half as he scored on runs of 4 and 17 yards to seal the win. He now has 17 touchdowns on the season. Hasselbeck finished with 243 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, while Hackett had 2 catches for 78 yards to lead the Seahawks.

Running back Steven Jackson gained 70 yards on 17 carries for the St. Louis Rams, while receiver Torry Holt had four receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown in his first action in over a month. Meanwhile, Marshall Faulk, who has been used sparingly as a backup RB this season, had 54 yards on 5 catches out of the backfield for the Rams.

Next up: The Seattle Seahawks will visit San Francisco to take on the lowly 49ers. The St. Louis Rams will host the Arizona Cardinals at home.
