It was just what the Detroit Lions had been longing for ever since the drafting of their young offensive talents; The Harrington to Williams Touchdown combo and a solid running game from Kevin Jones. This is the kind of potent offense that Steve Mariucci envisioned when he came to Detroit and he finally got it on Sunday afternoon.

Detroit Lions quarterback Joey Harrington had his second best game of his career as the Lions won 29- 21 at Ford Field over the Arizona Cardinals. Perhaps this is just what Harrington needed, a showcase of his abilities to prove not only to the fans, but also to himself, that he could perform at a high level in this league. Harrington finished the game 21 of 31 for 231 yards, 3 TDs and no interceptions.

As for Roy Williams, he spat on anyone who had doubted his toughness in recent weeks, by also delivering one of his best games as a pro. Williams posted 7 catches for 117 yards, with a career high 3 TDs. The amazing part of it all was how Williams undoubtedly played the entire game on basically one leg. He was still recovering from a strained quad suffered against Baltimore more than a month ago. So the fact that he put up impressive numbers while being hindered, speaks volumes about his toughness and resilience.
