San Francisco 49ers left tackle Anthony Clement, who has struggled at left tackle since taking over for the injured Jonas Jennings, has been benched in favour of rookie Adam Snyder. The 49ers have high hopes for Snyder who was regarded as one of the best lineman in this season's draft. Clement has been so ineffective this season that Snyder simply could not be any worse.

On the injury front, Jeremy Newberry the team's starting center is questionable for this week's game after sitting out last weeks game. Arnaz Battle has been placed back on the injury report as doubtful for this week's game. Fred Beasley the team's starting fullback is questionable with a neck injury.

Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, Ken Dorsey will make his second start for the San Francisco 49ers, replacing the ineffective third string quarterback Cody Pickett. The announcement indicates that Dorsey has recovered from his injury, where as first overall draft pick Alex Smith remains on the injury report.
