NFL sets attendance marks

The NFL had another record year, setting the record for paid-attendance for a third consecutive season. Attendance for all games (including exhibitions and playoffs) was 21,708,624. The previous record was 21,639,040, set in 2003. NFL regular season games drew 17,000,811 fans.

The Washington Redskins set the regular-season paid-attendance record for the fifth consecutive year, according to the league.

The Redskins drew 707,920 fans for 8 home games. The New York Giants (629,874) came in second, followed by the Kansas City Chiefs (623,264) and New York Jets (622,985). The Redskins play their home games at FedEx Field while the Chiefs call Arrowhead Stadium home. The Giants and Jets share the Meadowlands Sports & Entertainment Complex, aka Giants Stadium.
