Mexico's 2 major national networks announced a 3 year agreement to carry games each week. Mexican fans of American football will once again be able to watch the National Football League on free television.

The agreements follow a tough year for many Mexican fans of the sport. For the first time in years, neither network regularly carried NFL games last season, forcing fans to turn to cable or pay-per-view systems.

The largest network, Televisa, said it would carry 23 regular-season games, starting with the September 9 season opener between New England and Indianapolis. The network also said it would carry 5 post-season NFC games.

Rival TV Azteca said it would carry 17 Sunday games, 5 AFC playoff games and the Super Bowl.
