I believe there are several players that are not getting the respect they deserve for their outstanding performances in 2004. JJ Arrington, Stefan LeFors, Eric Shelton excelled like few others and should be pleasant surprises at the next level.

JJ Arrington was the only running back in NCAA Division I-A to rush for over 2000 yards in 2004. He also averaged a healthy 7.0 yards per carry and scored 15 TDs. More amazingly, he was the only runner to get more than 100 yards per game every time he stepped out onto the field. The 5'11" prospect weighs between 210 to 215 pounds and runs 4.4 seconds in the 40 yard dash.

I predict he will ultimately be the most successful runner taken in the draft this year. The only reason he won't be the first RB taken is his small stature. The kid has a big heart and real strong legs.

Stefan LeFors is a quaterback who comes out of University of Louisville, a university that has been heralded for their quarterbacks in the past. Last year, their 6'0", 200 lbs. QB ranked 16th in the nation in total offense, while ranking 23rd in passing efficiency. He also had 71 carries for 405 yards and 3 touchdowns.

However, stats don't tell the complete story. I have witnessed LeFors tear up opponents last year with his deft passing skills and mobility outside the pocket. Again size is a consideration, but this lefty passer is magic on the field.

The final dark horse is also from Lousville. Running back Eric Shelton had a spectacular 2004, he scored 20 TDs and finished with 938 yards while splitting time with Lionel Gates. However, he did average 6.4 yards a carry. He also runs a 4.5 time in the 40 yard dash.

I am not quite sure why he isn't considered among the upper echelon of runners in this years draft. It could be health concerns about the Florida State transfer. Nevertheless, the 6'1", 245 pound bruiser was absolutely electrifying last year when he was healthy.
