The city of Anaheim outlined plans for a new facility on the Angel Stadium parking lot to house an NFL team by 2008. Anaheim is competing with the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and a proposed stadium in Carson for the right to host a prospective franchise.

The city has already prepared and approve an economic impact report for a 70,500 seat stadium. One of the main benefits would be the proximity to other local attractions such as Disneyland, Angel Stadium, and the Arrowhead Pond.

The proposed Anaheim stadium is located roughly 35 miles south of downtown LA. The Rams left Anaheim in 1995 for their current home in St. Louis.
