The NFL network plans to cater to all of those true "hard core" NFL football fans this year. They will accomplish this by airing 55 preseason games in August and September. The only ones that the network will not air will be the 11 games that will be televised nationally, such as the Hall of Fame game on August 8th that will pit the Miami Dolphins versus the Chicago Bears.

NFL Network plans to use television feeds from local broadcasts and make use of both sets of announcers. For example, if Oakland is playing at San Francisco, NFL Network will use the announcers from the 49ers in the first half, and then switch to the Raiders' announcers in the second half.

Six of the 55 total games will be aired live. Here's a list of those live broadcasts:

-Oakland at San Francisco (Saturday, Aug. 13, at 10 p.m. ET)

-Cleveland at Detroit (Saturday, Aug. 20, at 1 p.m. ET)

-St. Louis at San Diego (Sunday, Aug. 21, at 4 p.m. ET)

-Tennessee at San Francisco (Friday, Aug. 26, at 10 p.m. ET)

-San Francisco at San Diego (Thursday, Sept. 1, at 10 p.m. ET)

-Denver at Arizona (Friday, Sept. 2, at 10 p.m. ET)
