Yes Hank, I'm definitely ready for some NFL football. Actually, I've been geared up for kickoff since the New England Patriots were on the podium receiving the Lombardi trophy shortly after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles back in February.

Well, the good news is we now have less than one month to go until the NFL preseason begins with the American Bowl in Tokyo, Japan. This year's match up features two teams who made the playoffs in 2004 and should be contenders once again this season; the Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Falcons. It is scheduled for early Saturday (5 a.m. to be exact) on August 6th. Two days later in Canton, Ohio, the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins will compete in the Hall of Fame Game to coincide with the induction of the Class of 2005 into the NFL Hall of Fame.

But first things first. Here are the official calendar dates for when rookies and veterans are scheduled to report to training camp. The reporting date is the same for both, except where noted.
