The Seattle Seahawks beat down the New Orleans Saints 34 to 15. Matt Hasselbeck had a short preseason debut completing 6 of 10 passes for 40-yards. However, it was his back up, Seneca Wallace, who secured the Seahawks' victory with a solid second quarter. Wallace threw for 137-yards and completed 12 of 20 passes. He also ran the ball well which included a 24-yard touchdown.

The New Orleans Saints' overall performance was a bit sluggish. Early on, they could not get the passing game going and relied heavily on the shoulders of RB Deuce McAllister. Deuce ran for 38-yards on 9 attempts. The Saints' only touchdown came on six minute drive well into the third quarter. Talman Gardner scored on an 11-yard pass from Todd Bouman.

Other key stats:

Seattle Seahawks
Shaun Alexander 3 ATT 18 yards

New Orleans Saints
