Eli Manning returns for his second season with the New York Giants and will take about 15 snaps before yielding to Jesse Palmer and Tim Hasselbeck. The team may be a little thin in the receiver positions, with tight end Jeremy Shockey and wideouts Tim Carter and Jamaal Taylor missing practice time due to hamstring injuries. However, free agent pickup Plaxico Burress should see his first action as a member of the New York Giants.

This will be the first opportunity for those faithful Cleveland Browns fans to see new coach Romeo Crennel on the sidelines and new quarterback Trent Dilfer leading the offense. Running backs Lee Suggs and William Green will get most of the carries with Reuben Droughns still nursing a sore hamstring. On the defensive side, the Cleveland Browns are switching over to a 3-4 scheme this season, the same defense Crennel ran during his years as New England's defensive coordinator.
