The Atlanta Falcons defeated the Baltimore Ravens 16 to 3 in a game that was dominated by defense early on. The score was 3-3 going into the 4th quarter.

As expected, Michael Vick played in only one series, and that series was a three and out. Vick managed to fumble once as well. The Atlanta Falcons was putrid. Matt Schaub 6 of 16 for 86 yards. T.J. Duckett and Warrick Dunn combined for 41 yards on 12 carries. However, the defense was extremely stout. Rod Coleman, who had some legal troubles this offseason, collected a sack early on.

The Baltimore Ravens were equally futile on offense. Kyle Boller was 5 of 9 for 57 yards and threw an interception. Jamal Lewis, who was expected to see some playing time, did not get a carry in the game. Rookie Mark Clayton had only one catch for six yards. On the other side of the ball the Baltimore Ravens defense was dominant as usual.
