The Tennessee Titans came from behind twice, the second time for good to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 24-21.
Michael Vick and the Atlanta Falcons jumped on the Titans early in the first quarter by driving the length of the field on a 7 play 70 yard drive, capped off by a four yard touchdown pass from Vick to wide receiver Brian Finneran. After the Titans responded with a 25-yard Ola Kimrin field goal, rookie 6th round pick DeAndra Cobb returned the ensuing kickoff 101 yards for the second Falcons touchdown.

The Titans came back strong in the 2nd quarter as Steve McNair capped off a nice performance by hitting Chris Brown for an 11 yard score. Billy Volek then came on before the half and led the Titans on an impressive 12 play 94 yard drive which ended with a one-yard plunge by Jarrett Payton, son of late Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton.

The drive was marred by an ugly incident between Falcons CB DeAngelo Hall and Titans rookie receiver Courtney Roby. They exchanged shoves after a 19-yard reception by Jason Dixon that advanced the ball down up to the Titans 25 yard line. Hall then threw two punches to the head of Roby, drawing a personal foul penalty and immediate ejection from the game.

The Tennessee Titans took the lead for good with 1:28 to go in the game on a touchdown pass from quarterback Shane Boyd to O.J. Small. Boyd also converted a two point conversion pass to Ben Hall to put the Titans up 24-21.
The Atlanta Falcons got the ball back one last time, as they drove to midfield, but they were unable to convert on 4th and 15.
