Niners’ Julian Peterson guarantees win

San Francisco 49ers All-Pro linebacker Julian Peterson has personally guaranteed victory this Sunday at home against the Dallas Cowboys. Peterson was quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle saying. "You can say I guaranteed it, yes. I think we're going to play well. I'm positive we're going to win, to be honest...We're going to go out there to win, or they're coming out here to lose."

Big words coming off an embarrasing 42-3 defeat at Philadelphia. Peterson must have confidence that coach Mike Nolan and his staff will correct the problems that plagued the Niners against the Eagles. It must be noted the San Francisco 49ers defeated the St. Louis Rams in Week 1.

I, for one, welcome the verbal challenge issued by Mr. Peterson. It adds a little color to one of the classic NFC rivalries that has gone a dormant after a string of disappointing regular season results by both of these legendary franchises.
