The song may have remained the same on the scoreboard, but it's clear that San Francisco 49ers interim coach Mike Singletary is bent on changing the tune of players looking to fill a diva role. Tight end Vernon Davis, who seems content to let his talent be overshadowed by his foolish behavior, was rightfully made an example of in Sunday's 34-13 loss to Seattle. Singletary sent Davis to the locker room after an unnecessary roughness penalty against Seahawks free safety Brian Russell.

Commentary: Davis seemed apologetic after the game, so maybe the shower did something to cool him off. He will likely not be disciplined further, but the clock is ticking on a first-round pick from 2006 who was expected to redefine the tight end position.

Fan Pulse: Give 49ers fans points for creativity. Some believe Davis would put up stats as an outside linebacker: http://forums.49ers.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=61266.

Fantasy Football Commentary:
Well, quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan seems to have reached the end of his rope. After laying a stinker against the Seahawks, Singletary benched him in favor of Shaun Hill. Don't go near Hill at this point as far as fantasy football is concerned.

Injury Watch:
WR Arnaz Battle left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with a foot injury.
