Cajon High (San Bernadino, Calif.) cornerback Marlon Pollard de-committed from UCLA on Monday and gave his verbal to Notre Dame.

Rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals, the 6-foot-1, 160-pounder had 60 tackles and four interceptions last season as a junior. Rivals also ranks him as the No. 12 cornerback in the nation.

In addition to UCLA, Pollard opted against Washington and Nebraska for South Bend. Special teams coach Brian Polian is credited with the get.

COMMENTARY: Pollard is the second player to renege from Rick Neuheisel’s program in a week (ATH Bryon Moore went from UCLA to USC early last week). What’s particularly painful is that Pollard and Moore are both four-star athletes the Bruins let get away.
