Oregon quarterback Cody Kempt has decided to leave Eugene. The 6-foot-2 came in late last season and replaced Dennis Dixon at the position because of Dixon’s season-ending injury.

In the last three games of the season, Kempt completed six passes on 26 attempts for 52 yards and two picks. Kempt was not believed to be the starter in 2008.

He will reportedly transfer to Montana State.

COMMENTARY: Kempt, a then-freshman, had to come in under tons of pressure when Dixon went down last season. It was too much for the youngster to overcome.
