Chaparral High (Temecula, Calif.) offensive guard Trevor Fox committed to Oregon on Wednesday for the 2009 class.

Recruiting site Rivals rates the 6-foot-3, 293-pounder as a three-star prospect. He is the first offensive player to commit to Oregeon for the year.

Fox chose the Ducks over Northern Arizona and Arizona.

COMMENTARY: Three stars for an offensive lineman is pretty good, especially for an interior lineman. However, it seemed no other major Pac-10 team, with the exception of Arizona, was interested in adding Fox. Regardless, picking up a good, coachable lineman is always a positive.
