Who says that coaching at the college level can be cutthroat business?

The Oregon Ducks rewarded head coach Mike Belloti with a five-year contract extension that includes a guaranteed base of $650,000 in compensation. Belloti's actual salary will be only $150,000, but he will also receive various other types of compensation including a car, a country club membership and a television contract.

The school is citing Belloti's overall success in his 12-year tenure as the reason for this lucrative extension. His team went just 7-6 in 2006.
