GREEN BAY, Wisconsin - The Green Bay Packers cut defensive back Michael Hawthorne. Hawthorne played in all 16 games last season and was tied for the team lead in forced fumbles with 2. He also had 1 fumble recovery for a TD.

Hawthorne began the year as the Packers' starting left CB before 1st round draft pick Ahmad Carroll became the starter in the sixth week. He also led Green Bay in special teams tackles with 19.

Hawthorne joined the team as a free agent in 2003 after the New Orleans Saints waived him.
