Recently, Green Bay Packers GM Ted Thompson came out on the record saying that Brett Favre's decision to stay or go will not impact the team's decision-making process with regards to this weekend's NFL draft.

Fat chance.

Favre's current limbo dance leaves a certain measure of uncertainty at the quarterback position, especially when you consider that there is no other quarterback on the current roster with legitimate starting experience. That uncertainty is likely to affect the Packers' draft board in some subtle way.

Still, it's nice to hear Thompson take a hardline stance on the issue even if it is just lip service.
