The Green Bay Packers signed free safeties Arturo Freeman and Earl Little. The Packer had released starting free safety Darren Sharper for salary cap purposes earlier this offseason despite ranking among the worst pass defenses last year.

The 6'1", 210 lbs. Freeman amassed 33 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 2 deflected passes in 16 games with the Miami Dolphins during 2004. The South Carolina product had played 5 seasons with the Dolphins, totalling 180 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 14 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles, 3 opponents' fumbles recovered in 72 contests.

The 6'1", 205 lbs. Little played 16 games for the Cleveland Browns in 2004. He had 51 tackles, 1 INT, 4 deflected passes, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery. The former University of Miami Hurricane first played for the New Orleans Saints in 1998 before his 6 year stint with the Browns. He has totalled 308 tackles, 18 INTs, 19 passes defended, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries.
