The Carolina Panthers have signed sixth-round draft pick, Joe Berger. The 23 year old prospect was the 207th player pick overall and played his college football at Michigan Tech.

At 6'5'' and 303 pounds, Joe Berger has the size to be an effective blocker in the NFL. As a senior in 2004, he started 10 games at right tackle for the Huskies and was selected to play in the Division II All-Star Cactus Bowl. He earned the Jim Langer Award as the top offensive lineman in that contest.

Berger is the first 2005 draft pick that the Carolina Panthers have signed thus far. They had a total of 10 picks in this year's draft.
