The New England Patriots signed former Dolphins DT Steve Fifita to a contract Monday. Terms were not released.

Fifita played in 13 games for the Dolphins last season, starting one, and totaled 13 tackles.

Commentary: He will compete to provide depth at nose tackle behind veteran Vince Wilfork.
