The New England Patriots signed wide receiver and return extraordinaire Tim Dwight to a 1 year contract. Dwight was released earlier this offseason after 4 years with the San Diego Chargers. He was part of the trade to the Atlanta Falcons for Michael Vick. The Chargers also got a #1 pick, which the team used to select LaDainian Tomlinson. Dwight was explosive in his 3 seasons for the Falcons.

The speedster will be returning kickoffs and punts for the Patriots this year, after releasing WR Troy Brown earlier this offseason. Brown had served as team's primary returner the past few years.

Dwight has averaged 23.3 yards on kick returns and 10.0 yards on punt returns during his 7 year career. In 85 games, Dwight has caught 153 balls for 2,422 yards and 14 TDs.
