The New England Patriots signed wide receiver David Terrell. The WR had been released by the Chicago Bears earlier this off-season.

Terrell will likely see time as the third receiver behind starters Deion Branch and David Givens. Former Patriots WR David Patten signed as a free agent with the Washington Redskins in March and veteran Troy Brown has yet to re-sign after his release.

The 6'3", 212 lbs. Terrell had 42 catches for 699 yards and 1 TD in 2004. The 26 year-old WR played previously with Tom Brady at the University of Michigan. However, the eighth overall pick of the 2001 draft has been largely been a disappointment, catching 128 passes for 1,602 yards and 9 TDs in 53 games over 4 seasons.
