New England Patriots running back Corey Dillon signed a contract extension. The deal could keep him with the team until the end of his playing days.

According to his agent, the agreement guarantees Dillon $10 million over the next 2 years. It could be extended for up to 5 years and a total $25 million in base pay and bonuses.

Dillon was a second-round pick from the University of Washington in 1997 for the Cincinnati Bengals. To join the Patriots after being traded from the Bengals, Dillon restructured the last 2 years of his contract. The move allowed New England to reduce their salary cap number for 2004.
