Bruschi told WBZ-TV in Boston on Saturday that he will take his time before making the "big decision" of whether he should get back on the field in 2005 alongside his championship team mates.

"During the season we take it one game at a time, and right now in my life I'm taking it one day at a time," said the 31-year-old Bruschi, who said he's "feeling great" three months after the stroke.

He has been talking it over with his family, however, is taking time to finalize a decision. In the meantime he has been working out at the team training facility in Foxboro.

The work out sessions are helping Bruschi get his health back in order. It is also helping him gauge just how far he can push his body and the day to day reactions.

If he opts out of playing this season, there is a possibility that he will return in 2006. With three years left on his contract, Bruschi is scheduled to make $850,000 in 2005, $1.35 million in 2006 and $1.70 million in the final year. The deal can be voided if he retires, however, he could earn his full salary if the Patriots put him on the physically unable to perform list.
