The Raiders announced they signed QB Marcus Tuiasosopo to a one-year deal Thursday.

He spent 2007 with the Jets, but he now returns to Oakland, which selected him in the second round of the 2001 draft. He appeared in 11 games, starting two, in six seasons with the Raiders. He did not play at all in New York.

Commentary: This move isn't likely to worry starter JaMarcus Russell at all, but backup Andrew Walter might have a second thought or two.

Fantasy Impact: Tuiasosopo couldn't make enough of his opportunities to hold off Kerry Collins, Aaron Brooks or many others; even if he does get a start, he won't stay there long enough to consider him a worthy waiver pickup.

I believe that was a really smart deal to only sign a one year deal to make him prove exactly what he could do for the team.
