Raiders should shake up depth chart for final six

This has to get old for fans of the Oakland Raiders.

There are still six games to play in 2008, and all the focus in Oakland is on 2009. The Raiders sit 2-8, second last in the AFC West and losers of four straight. They have the worst scoring offense in the NFL, a 25th-ranked defense and another lame-duck head coach. And Al Davis is still in charge.

Everyone is now focusing in on what’s next. You know, like they did in 2003 and 2004 and 2005 and 2006… and, you get the point.

But instead of thinking about which future rookie the Raiders should draft (ruin the career of) with their impending top five pick, let’s focus on the now. After all, trying to anticipate Davis’ next move is about as difficult as coaching two full consecutive years in Oakland.

So with that being said, what should the dysfunctional Raiders do with their remaining six games? In short: Make losing as interesting as possible. They should shake up the depth chart; coaches should send in players they don’t know the names of at positions they don’t belong.

Or, at the very least, do something like this:
