The Oakland Raiders acquired Richard Seymour from the Patriots in exchange for Oakland's first-round pick in 2011.

The questions abound? Why wasn't this a 2010 pick? Is this really a conditional pick? Did this move finally help them stop the run?

Seymour is only 29, so he does have 4 or 5 productive years left. He also has 5 Pro Bowls. He is also the Defensive Tackle / End everyone has been asking for.

He is going to finally make a difference and I don't think he would have been available if the Raiders had let his contract run out in N.E.

Unquestionably this is an impact move.
