After sitting most of the season due to a heart ailment, Mike Martz was informed of his termination on Monday. The St. Louis Rams fired Martz after just over five years at the helm.

The Rams started out 2-3 with Martz on the sidelines and finished the season a disappointing 6-10 with interim coach Joe Vitt manning the controls.

Martz led the St. Louis Rams to a Super Bowl appearance in 2001, but the team has been up and down ever since.
