Rams trade for QB Ragone

The St. Louis Rams have traded an undisclosed draft pick to the Cincinnati Bengals for QB Dave Ragone.

The Rams will bring in the 26-year-old Ragone to compete for the #3 QB spot with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jeff Smoker. St. Louis already has QB Marc Bulger entrenched as their starter and brought in Gus Frerotte early in the free-agency period to be the backup.

The left-handed Ragone has only played in 2 games, both starts, which came with the Houston Texans in 2003, his rookie year.
