The St. Louis Rams announced over the weekend that they've agreed to terms with both of their seventh round selections in the NFL Draft, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick from Harvard and fullback Madison Hedgecock out of North Carolina. Terms of those deals were not disclosed. Fitzpatrick and Hedgecock were the 250th and 251st picks overall in this past April's draft, respectively.

Ryan Fitzpatrick led his team to an undefeated season in his senior year, while finishing second on Harvard's all-time passing lists for yards (5,234) and touchdown passes (39) during his college career. He was also the first quarterback in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards. Fitzpatrick will be competing with Jeff Smoker and Jamie Martin for a backup role behind St. Louis Rams starting QB Marc Bulger.

Madison Hedgecock gained 130 yards on 34 carries for the Tar Heels in his senior season but is more of a blocking back than a ball carrier. He is expected to compete with current starting fullback Joey Goodspeed for playing time on offense for the St. Louis Rams. Hedgecock could also see time on special teams, where the club struggled badly at times last season. He also caught six passes for 42 yards, and was named the ACC's best blocking back in 2004.

Training camp opens for the Rams on July 28.
