Baltimore Ravens cornerback Samari Rolle settled Tennesee criminal charges after hitting his wife in February. He agreed to probation, anger management classes, and marriage counseling.

Rolle also will make a $10,000 donation to help battered women or children under a pretrial diversion agreement reached in Williamson County General Sessions Court. The charge will be expunged from his record if he completes the counseling and finishes his probation period of almost 12 months without any incidents.

He was arrested on a misdemeanor charge after his wife Danisha was treated for a cut over her left eye at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Hospital officials were forced to call the police after discovering the nature of the injury. If convicted, Rolle may have faced up to a year in prison.

District Attorney General Ron Davis said the couple already is in marriage counseling. Davis said he agreed to the deal after Danisha Rolle accepted the conditions.
