The Baltimore Ravens cut linebacker Peter Boulware. The franchise's all-time sack leader missed all of last season with leg injuries.

The offseason signing of Tommy Polley and drafting defensive end Dan Cody in the second round should offset the loss of Boulware. His contract would have cost the team $6 million in base salary over the next 4 years.

The 6'4", 255 lbs. pass rush specialist was a first round selection out of FSU for the Ravens in 1997. Boulware has amassed 390 tackles, 67.5 sacks, 1 interception, 17 deflected passes, 13 forced fumbles, and 5 fumble recoveries in 111 games. He had 15 sacks and 4 forced fumbles in 2001.
